Telus #earnyourway to We Day, enter now! #WeDay

Since 2006, TELUS has been a proud supporter of Free The Children; an international charity that educates, engages and empowers youth to become agents of change, and the folks behind We Day. Over the past seven years, they have given more than $5 million in charitable donations and sponsorship funding to support this cause!

This year, TELUS is once again excited to be the national co-title sponsor of Free The Children’s We Day events that are making waves with motivated youth across North America. There are eight We Day events happening across Canada this year, beginning with the Toronto event on September 20, and TELUS wants to send deserving youth to attend! Past speakers and performers have included top celebrities and presenters such as Jennifer Hudson, Dalai Lama and Nelly Furtado, and this year promises to be just as amazing.

This event is so exclusive, you can’t even buy tickets! Youth have to earn their way through their school and service as part of the We Act Program, which sees them get involved in their communities throughout the year. So, how can youth that aren’t part of the We Act Program through their school get their hands on tickets to attend? The price of a VIP We Day experience is just one small act…

Telus is asking kids to share their smalls acts of good for a chance to Earn Their Way to We Day in their community! Using Twitter or Instagram and the hashtag #earnyourway, youth can tell us what little thing they do to make a difference and we could be sending them and a friend to We Day in serious VIP style as part of the TELUS Crew! Because we want everyone to have a fair shot, youth who are not on Insagram or Twitter can also enter their submission directly on our website. For more details, or to enter online visit TELUSforWeDay.com. But hurry, contest only runs until Sept 1oth.

Above and beyond supporting this year’s events, TELUS has also partnered with BlackBerry to donate $25 from every TELUS BlackBerry 10 model sold to Free The Children until November 30.

The defining celebration of Whistler, the World Ski and Snowboard Festival is a 10 day and night showcase of the latest progressions in the skiing and snowboarding world, where even the arts events are packed full of adrenaline. Combining Canada’s largest free outdoor concert series with career-making showdowns of action sports and lifestyle fashion, photography and film, the best spring snow conditions, and burn-the-candle nightlife, it’s a celebration of everything that’s core to mountain culture.
