I have already mentioned several times that I love this time of the year because of all the available pumpkin – it is one of my favourite foods. I like anything pumpkin…including drinks – pumpkin lattes and pumpkin smoothies.
This is a great refreshing drink at this time of the year, and is one of my favourites; it reminds me a bit of pumpkin pie, and it can tide you over in case you are craving some. 🙂 It is so quick and easy, but oh so good!
My go to ingredient is Almond Fresh almond milk– I really like the slight nutty taste but, I also really like that it seems to make most things creamier, it also has added magnesium, zinc and Vit B12 – things that you need to make sure you get enough of if you are on a gluten free diet.
2cups Almond Fresh
1cup pumpkin puree [not pie filling]
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg
½ tbsp. honey
Add all ingredients to blender; blend until smooth and pour into tall glasses [makes 2 serving]. Garnish with cinnamon and you have a tasty pumpkin smoothie to enjoy.
